2024-2025 Preschool Registration: St. Vrain Valley Schools and Universal Preschool Congruent Registration Now Available

Family registration for 2024-25 Colorado Universal Preschool (UPK) is now available. All children in Colorado can register for up to 15 hours per week of funding for high-quality preschool in their year before kindergarten, and many may be eligible for additional hours based on qualifying factors. Families who did not pre-register for Preschool with St. Vrain Valley Schools should complete St. Vrain Valley Schools and Universal Preschool Congruent Registration.

Preschool for Three Year Olds
  • Students who are three years old, on or before October 1, 2024 should register using the link above. Limited funds are available to support three-year olds with a qualifying factor based on UPK’s qualifying factor framework. Families who believe they would qualify for additional funds should select “tuition-based – three or four years old by Oct. 1” in the Preschool Program section of the district preschool application, then check the “scholarship” option box.
  • Families who do not receive scholarships are welcome to enroll in preschool as a tuition paying family.
  • Tuition rates for 3-year-old half-day preschool (Mon-Thurs; AM or PM) is $538/month (tuition payments are per month for nine months).
Preschool for Four Year Olds
  • Through Universal Preschool (UPK), all children who are four years old, on or before October 1, 2024, are qualified for free district half-day preschool (AM or PM).
  • Families are strongly encouraged to complete the UPK application, which is available within the district preschool application.
  • Families who are not interested in engaging in the UPK process are welcome to enroll in preschool as a tuition paying family. Tuition rates for 4-year-old half-day preschool (Mon-Thurs; AM or PM) is $538/month (tuition payments are per month for nine months).
  • We are anticipating full day options for the 2024-2025 school year at some locations. Families can apply, understanding additional tuition fees may apply. For 4-year-olds who qualify for only part day UPK but want to enroll in a full day program, the tuition portion will be $404/month. Scholarship funding may be available for full day UPK qualified families.

The Preschool team is available to provide ongoing support to families as they navigate the registration and enrollment process. For Spanish language support, please contact [email protected] or 303-702-8370. For specific preschool questions, visit our preschool team page directory.

Children with Disabilities

Whom do I contact if I have concerns about my child’s development?
Call Jodie Guerrieri at Child Find (303-772-6649) to schedule a screening.

At what age are children eligible to receive services in Special Education?
The District is required to provide special education to eligible children when a child reaches their 3rd birthday.

If a child qualifies for Special Education and a preschool program is recommended, is the child guaranteed a placement in the school of attendance/residency?
No, the district must provide a free appropriate public education that meets the individualized needs of the child and sometimes this means attending an appropriate preschool outside of the attendance area. The district has a limited number of preschool programs therefore, the attendance/residency area program may be full when the child is identified for special education. In this case, another program would be recommended.

Identification & Eligibility

  • Eligibility is determined by Child Find at district Student Services
