2008 Bond

In November 2008, District voters approved a $189 million bond for district-wide capital building repairs, infrastructure upgrades, the construction of a new high school in the Carbon Valley, and the ability to respond to pockets of overcrowding in the District.

Bond Project Updates

While developing the Bond program, the District identified needs at the below listed schools. Expressed in general terms, the following is intended to give the reader an understanding of the Bond effort as it relates to individual educational facilities. The process used to develop the Mill Levy Override and Bond, including accountability and cost, are explained in the Mill/Bond Book.

Mill Levy Override

The 2008 passage of the mill levy override adds $16.5 million in revenue for the recruitment and retention of highly qualified teachers, lower class sizes, improved safety and security features, operations and maintenance needs, focus school implementation, instructional programming needs, technology upgrades and additional funding for District charter schools.
