Review Process for New Courses

The Department of Assessment, Curriculum, and Instruction oversees the development, implementation, evaluation, revision, and districtwide alignment of curriculum to support student achievement, postsecondary and workforce readiness, and global success.

Principals are responsible for implementing the approved curriculum at the school level.

Schools interested in developing and piloting a new course should complete the New Course Request form. Submissions will be reviewed and approved by the building principal before being sent to the Curriculum Department.

General high school course proposals for the following school year must be submitted by November 1.
