Summer School, Camps & Enrichment
St. Vrain Valley Schools offers robust summer programming options to keep students engaged in their academic learning. Major summer programs include:
Project Launch is an extended school year program, offered through the month of June for students in grades K-3 who are not reading at grade-level. Program invitations are shared in the spring for families to register at school sites across the district.
Innovation Academy is a summer opportunity for students in grades 1-5 to engage in design thinking and innovation at home with support from St. Vrain educators and IBM volunteers. For over 10 years, Innovation Academy has empowered students to solve real-world problems while helping them build a foundation of critical thinking through inquiry-based learning.
Innovation Center SuperStem Camps
Online SuperSTEM Camps offer innovative, hands- on learning experiences that engage and challenge students and incorporate human-centered design thinking. Camps are taught primarily by student designers and teachers from St. Vrain’s Innovation Center, and offer a wide-range of fun STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) activities for ages 9-17. These fun, low-cost camps are taught completely online with one hour of instructor interaction each day. iPads are available if needed. Course offerings are announced in the spring.
Innovation Center Summer Classes
The Innovation Center offers classes over the summer to interested students, including Design Fundamentals, CompTIA Fundamentals, Cybersecurity, and an Apple Certification course. Course offerings are announced in the spring.
eCredit Recovery (High School)
eCredit Recovery will continue for high school students, mostly through a virtual environment with the potential for small groups of students to receive face-to-face support while maintaining recommended social distancing measures. If your student is a behind on high school credits, your school will contact you with information about enrollment.
Extended School Year (Special Education)
St. Vrain will be providing virtual instruction for students who qualify for Extended School Year (ESY) through their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). If your student qualifies, a member of the special education team will contact you with more information.
