Five-Day-a-Week Preschool Programs in St. Vrain
St. Vrain Valley Schools offers five-day-a-week preschool programs across the district, giving families more opportunities for consistent learning and connection. Families can choose from a variety of high-quality options, including half-day morning and afternoon sessions, with full-day programs available at select schools.
The Colorado Universal Preschool application is available within St. Vrain’s application and families interested in St. Vrain’s programming are encouraged to use our application form. Preschool placements are first come, first serve. Registering early increases the opportunity of placement at a family’s school of choice.
2026-2027 Preschool Matching Process Timeline:
Please note: These dates are subject to change based on state and district updates.
Registration:
- Dec. 9: Preschool registration opens for all preschool families.
- Feb 2: Families of returning preschoolers, preschoolers with siblings enrolled in St. Vrain schools, and children of St. Vrain employees will be notified by St. Vrain of their placements. Families must accept their match through UPK portal on or before Feb. 10.
- April 1-30: General application families are notified by St. Vrain of their placements. Families must accept their match through the UPK portal by April 3.
Ongoing Registration:
- March 16: Second round of matching begins, which includes all applicants from after February 9.
- April 1: Families are notified by St. Vrain of their placements. Families must accept their match through the UPK portal on or before March 31.
2026-2027 Preschool Rates
- Part-Time Preschool: $640.00/month
- Second Half of Full-Day Preschool (for families not qualifying for full-day through UPK): $765.00/month
- Full-Day Preschool: $1,450.00/month
Universal Preschool Information:
Colorado’s Universal Preschool (UPK) program provides free preschool for children who will be four-years-old on or before Oct 1 of the school year they are enrolling. Through UPK, families can receive up to 15 hours a week of state-funded preschool, with the option to add more hours through tuition.
