St. Vrain Band Night provides an opportunity for students to showcase their marching band skills to a live audience, but also to learn from the other programs throughout the district and state. Additionally, judges will be present to give each band feedback outside of a competitive environment.

- All spectators and performers must exit the stands and field before the drone show can begin
** Please join us following the culmination of the event to enjoy a drone show celebrating music in SVVSD! After the final performance, all spectators will need to exit the stadium grounds in order to view the drone show. For best viewing, make your way to the soccer field or south walkway.
Special Guests in the Booth
Joe Bartko – Announcer
Joe Bartko brings an extensive background of announcing and pageantry experience to the microphone tonight. He attended Niwot H.S. and was a member of the marching, concert and jazz bands, and during that time, began his tenure in drum corps as a percussionist with the Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps. He continued his involvement in the drum corps activity as the long-time announcer for “Corps Encore” in Ogden, UT, the “Mile High Showcase” and “Drums Along the Rockies.” As a highly sought-after performing arts and sports announcer, Mr. Bartko has also announced a variety of other events including rodeos, marching band competitions, corporate functions, and sporting events, including the Niwot H.S. Football games.
In 1992, Mr. Bartko, along with other percussion educators, created and founded the Rocky Mountain Percussion Association, where he has announced every season. He has announced across the country for Winter Guard International (WGI) including the Percussion World Championships for nearly 30 years. Mr. Bartko has announced a variety of marching band events and Colorado Bandmasters Association (CBA) marching band competitions. He served as the on-air host for the CBA State Marching Championships broadcast and does continued voice-over work for radio and television. Mr. Bartko served as the “voice” of the “Colorado State University Marching Band,” announcing at all home football games of the CSU Rams, Denver Bronco halftime performances and bowl game appearances In addition to his work doing radio and TV voice-overs, Mr. Bartko was the on-camera spokesperson for FOHVAMP – the “Families of Homicide Victims and Missing Persons”.

Modern Icon Media is a video production company founded by Trenton Hoshiko, former Silver Creek HS student, and based out of the Longmont/Boulder area. Modern Icon Media provides “outstanding video production and video advertising services to Northern Colorado organizations.”
