Community Facility Use

The Facility Use Department manages all non-district use of school buildings and fields. All use must align with established policies, procedures, and regulations, which outline permitted activities.

A separate fee structure applies to user groups to ensure district funds remain focused on educating students while supporting appropriate community access.

Available Spaces & Fees
Rental fees vary based on the space and user group category. Facilities available for rent may include cafeterias, gyms, kitchens, auditoriums, classrooms, parking lots, and select fields. See Fee Schedule

For questions about availability or to determine if a proposed use is permitted, please contact the Facility Use Department by phone or email.

Submitting a Request / Community Log In
All facility use requests must be submitted through the Community Use Portal. To begin the process See Community Event Manager Manual or for further assistance, contact the Facility Use Department.

Please note: Charter schools manage their own facility rentals and must be contacted directly for use of their spaces.

Insurance Requirement
Most users must provide a Certificate of Liability Insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000 in general liability coverage. The certificate must name:

Timelines

Athletic Timeline

Processing of contracts will begin 6 weeks prior to each season start. See below for season dates:

Fall Sports: August 18th – October 31st

Winter Sports: November 1st – December 19th

Early Spring Sports: January 6th – March 13th

Late Spring Sports: March 23rd – May 21st

Summer Sports Requests (FIELDS ONLY): May 25th – June 30th / July 1st – July 31st

Auditorium Timeline

Auditorium event requests may be submitted beginning July 1.

July 1 – October 31 events: Reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the Facility Use Department.

November 1 – December 31 events: Approval decisions issued by August 30.

January 1 – June 30 events: Approval decisions issued by September 30.

Church / PTO / Scout Groups

Contracts to be submitted on July 1st, with approval by no later than August 29th. Please schedule a one-year contract with all dates.

All Other Events

Community event requests may be submitted beginning July 1. Approvals will be processed starting three months before the event date.
If you require approval earlier, please contact the Facility Use Department.

Auditorium Use

Some high schools have auditoriums that are available for public rental. Seating capacity and availability varies.

  • Silver Creek High School: 400
  • Vance Brand Civic Auditorium (Skyline High School): 1344
