Elliot Moore has served as Music Director of the Longmont Symphony Orchestra since 2017, where his leadership has brought remarkable growth in audience engagement, artistic achievement, and enthusiasm for symphonic music in Colorado. He is committed to accessibility and innovation, championing works by living composers, presenting sensory-friendly performances with the Boulder Ballet, and introducing regional audiences to symphonic works never before heard in the state.

Moore made his Carnegie Hall debut in 2015 with the Blue Period Ensemble, conducting Bright Sheng’s Deep Red for Marimba and Ensemble and Mahler’s Das Lied von der Erde in Schoenberg and Riehn’s chamber transcription. His career includes guest appearances with orchestras in Mexico, Canada, and across the United States, as well as participation in Canada’s National Arts Centre Orchestra Conductors Program.

Equally at home in the opera pit, he has conducted productions of Strauss’ Ariadne auf Naxos and Verdi’s Falstaff, and led the world premiere of Ursula Kwong-Brown’s The First of Love. He previously served as Music Director of the Detroit Medical Orchestra.

Originally from Alaska, Moore earned his Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Michigan, where he was a Helen Wu Graduate Conducting Fellow. He began his training at the Conductors Retreat at Medomak with Kenneth Kiesler, later serving as Kiesler’s assistant at the Manhattan School of Music.

Outside of music, Moore is a language enthusiast—fluent in French, conversational in Italian and German, with additional studies in Hebrew and Latin, and currently learning Spanish. He is also writing his first book, Exceeding Expectations: My Journey to the Podium. He lives in Colorado with his wife, Dr. Pauline Cichon, their three children, five dogs, and Maine Coon cat.

Priscilla Arasaki is a violinist and dedicated mariachi educator based in Colorado. She is a full-time member of Mariachi Las Dahlias, Denver’s all-female mariachi ensemble, which has been featured on Denver’s 9News and performed multiple times at the Colorado Governor’s Mansion. Alongside her performance career, Priscilla serves as the Co-Executive Director of Cuerdas y Canciones Center for Mariachi Arts and Culture, an organization she co-founded with Marialuisa Meza Burgos to promote mariachi education in schools across the state.

Priscilla began her teaching career in Austin, Texas, before moving to Colorado, where she developed a passion for mariachi and established the first mariachi program at Skyline High School. She then continued this work at Sunset Middle School, expanding and strengthening the school’s mariachi program. She holds a Master’s degree in Music Education from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Bachelor’s degree in Music Studies from the University of Texas at Austin.

Marialuisa Meza-Burgos is a singer, musician, and Mariachi artist, specializing in traditional Mexican Mariachi music. She is the lead vocalist and vihuela player for the Colorado-based all-female Mariachi, Las Dahlias. Mari holds a Bachelor’s in Music from MSU Denver and a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre from Naropa University. Passionate about preserving the tradition, she offers private lessons in Mariachi vocal performance and vihuela playing.
