Curriculum Team
Oversight
The Curriculum Team is responsible for the following to support our community, families, administrators, teachers, and students within St. Vrain Valley Schools:
- Coordinate shared vision and practice in content-based instruction with interdisciplinary connections to ensure all students have the essential skills necessary to thrive in our PK-12 system and beyond
- Maintain awareness of, evaluate, and communicate current research on best practices for content-based instruction and communicate the implications of this research to all stakeholders
- Align instructional resources to the Colorado Academic Standards PK-12, ensuring a rigorous, guaranteed & viable standards-based curriculum for all students
- Facilitate the instructional resources adoption process and monitor the piloting of candidate programs/resources
- Support the effective implementation of the adopted instructional resources in schools and classrooms
- Support the design, implementation, and interpretation of District-wide content-based assessments
- Provide customize support for school-based improvement goals based on identified needs in achievement
- Identify, design, and coordinate professional development opportunities for District teachers
- Facilitate teacher leadership team meetings focused on instruction and student achievement
- Communicate with the Board of Education, District staff, and the public as needed regarding the District’s content-based academic programming
