A Letter to the Parents and Guardians of Lyons Elementary & Lyons Middle/Senior High Schools

Dear Parents and Guardians of Lyons Elementary & Lyons Middle/Senior High Schools:

I would like to convey my deep concern for the devastation endured by many of you in Lyons and surrounding areas. Yesterday, I visited the Town of Lyons and I have been in communication with town officials and law enforcement. Additionally, I visited LifeBridge Church, the evacuation site for many residents.

Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and that our District stands ready to assist you.

In order to provide as much support as possible for our children, the District is finalizing plans to restart school for Lyons K-12 students during the week of September 23.

Until normal access to the Town of Lyons and other public safety concerns have been fully addressed, both Lyons Elementary and Lyons Middle/Senior will reopen for students at the Old Longmont High School, 820 Main Street in Longmont. Start times and dates are:
