St. Vrain Valley Schools’ Innovation Center, in partnership with the Space Foundation, invites elementary students and their families to an evening of discovery during Space in the Community on Monday, October 26, from 5–7 p.m.
Hosted at the Innovation Center, the event will bring space exploration to life through an astronaut presentation and hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity and imagination.
The evening begins with an astronaut talk from 5–6 p.m., giving students and families an opportunity to hear firsthand about experiences in space exploration.
From 6–7 p.m., families can explore space-themed activities, including a green screen photo station with space costumes and printed photos, a space simulation in the MAP studio, and an astronaut autograph station. Food and giveaways will also be available for families attending in person.
Families who cannot attend in person can join through a livestream, with opportunities for at-home viewers to win prizes.
Monday’s family event is part of a week of space-focused learning across St. Vrain. From Monday through Thursday, an astronaut will visit two middle schools each day for presentations and student questions. On Friday, the Innovation Center will host a Careers in Space mentoring event for 200 St. Vrain high school students and up to 50 industry mentors.
Join us for an evening that connects young learners with the wonder of space and the possibilities ahead.
