St.Vrain Valley School District RE-1J achieved a credit rating upgrade from Standard & Poor’s from “AA” to “AA+” and issued the remaining $60.34 million of bonds from its $260.34 million of voter authorization in 2016. The sale on September 19 was for a 5-year bond maturity, shortened from what was initially planned to be a 14 year schedule.
Remember being bored out of your mind in high school, wondering when you were ever going use the knowledge they were force feeding you. Well, those days are over for students in the St. Vrain Valley School District thanks to the new Innovation Center.

Northridge Elementary School's plans for an outdoor classroom for students and the community just got a $15,000 boost. The Longmont school recently won the $15,000 Succeeds Prize for Excellence in STEM Education, with the school planning to use the money to design and build an outdoor space. The $15,000 prize, presented by Ball Corporation, was awarded to Northridge as an "outstanding example of science, technology, engineering and math education."

After a year of applications, interviews and anticipation, teachers and leaders supporting student engagement and growth at Northridge Elementary School walked across a stage at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House on Tuesday to receive a prestigious Succeeds Prize for Excellence in STEM Education. As over 1,400 applauded their achievements, the focus was still on the strength and achievement of ALL students.
