SVVSD to sponsor its 12th Annual Summer Nutrition Meal Program
St. Vrain Valley Schools’ Nutrition Services is gearing up for its 12th Annual Summer Meal Program. Many families rely on free and reduced lunch programs throughout the school year. This program was developed to extend support to those children in need of regular nutrition.
Meals will be provided to all children between the age of 1 and 18; registration within SVVSD is not required. Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Adults with a child will be able to eat at "no charge" until funding dollars run out. After the money runs out, the cost for lunch is $3.50 for adults.
This year, the St. Vrain is partnering with the city of Longmont and the USDA free meals program in providing meals at Countryside Village Longmont, Roth Rock Dell Park, YMCA, the Longmont Youth Center and Frederick Centennial Park. In addition the Community Food Share will have a mobile food pantry every other Friday to do a food outreach to the community. Please review the flyer for days, times and activities.
