Across the district, we have been championing a new motivational motto that is uniting our shared vision for excellence in learning and student advancement: We are taking public education by #StVrainStorm! Every day, I observe countless examples of students, teachers, staff, and community partners exemplifying the highest levels of achievement and drive that represent the very best of our public schools. Our graduation rates are at their highest level – over 90 percent at our traditional schools – and St. Vrain was also one of only four districts in Colorado and 373 nationally to be recognized by College Board’s Annual AP District Honor Roll. Enrollment in Advanced Placement (AP) courses has increased by 50 percent since 2014 with over 3,000 students enrolled in at least one AP class.

What does attendance mean to you? Every student and family will have their own meaning for great attendance. For schools in St. Vrain, the goal is simple - have your student attend everyday and miss less than 10 days of school per year for any reason. The value of consistent attendance is one of the most important factors in determining if a student will do well in school, graduate and be prepared for success in future grades, their careers and postsecondary education.

There is a steady pulse that you feel throughout St. Vrain. The pulse is a driving strategy, a mission, a collective goal to take our schools from very good to remarkable. To some, very good would be a place to hang our hats, but for the teachers, staff and administration, very good is the first benchmark - and we are just getting started.
