The St. Vrain Valley School District’s Deaf/Hard of Hearing Program has a wide variety of educational options available to meet the individual needs of students. Itinerant services from a D/HH teacher are offered throughout the district for children ages 3-21.
Staff members respect and support all communication modes offering an auditory/oral emphasis and/or a total communication approach. Sign classes are offered throughout the year at various schools. D/HH teachers, regular education teachers, students, interpreters, speech/language pathologists, related services providers, counselors, parents, audiologists and administrators all collaborate to meet the needs of all students. D/HH students in St. Vrain also have the opportunity to participate in social experiences with other D/HH students around the Denver metro are, such as interpreted plays, community events and D/HH Track and Field Day.
If you need assistance for a sign language interpreter at parent teacher conferences, please contact Amy Martien at 303-776-8674 x57680.
